Make your bike feel sharp, smooth and ready again
Precision servicing for high-end road, gravel and mountain bikes in South Oxfordshire.
Your bike should feel quiet, precise and confidence-inspiring — not draggy, noisy or just “good enough”.
At South Oxon Cycleworks, our service packages are designed to optimise performance, reliability and confidence in one proper visit wherever possible.
Cytech-qualified. Over 30 years of experience.
A proper service should do more than tick boxes
Over time, performance fades gradually.
Shifting gets less crisp. The drivetrain gets noisier. Braking loses sharpness.
The bike still works — but it no longer feels as good as it should.
Some bikes need a thorough reset. Others just need a sharp pair of eyes and a skilled set of hands to catch small issues before they become expensive ones.
That's why we offer three levels of service — not to upsell you, but because different bikes at different stages genuinely need different things. What they have in common: the work gets done properly, with honest advice, and no unnecessary return visits.
Whichever service your bike needs, you'll get it back feeling:
Cleaner shifting under load
Quieter, smoother running
More confident braking
Properly sorted, not just ticked off

FAQs
How do I know which service I need?
1
If your bike has been properly serviced within the last year, a Full Service is usually the right choice. If it’s been longer, or the bike feels tired and overdue a proper reset, a Major Service is likely to be the better option.
Are parts included in the price?
2
Service labour is included. Replacement parts, cables, pads, bearings and other components are charged separately if needed.
How long will you need the bike for?
3
We aim to have bikes ready in around 3 days where possible, depending on workload and whether parts are needed.
Do I need to clean the bike before bringing it in?
4
A light clean is always appreciated, especially on very muddy trail bikes, but it isn’t essential.
Do you work on road, gravel and mountain bikes?
5
Yes. We service all types of bikes and specialise in performance road, gravel and mountain bikes.
Can you advise on upgrades as well as servicing?
6
Yes. We offer honest, independent advice on upgrades, replacement components and improving bike performance.
What if my bike needs more work than expected?
7
If we find anything significant beyond the expected scope, we’ll discuss it with you before going ahead.
Do you offer quick fixes or ad-hoc repairs?
8
Yes, depending on the job and workshop capacity. Get in touch with a few details and we’ll advise.
